The aim for this website is to disseminate information about my PhD research into the management of database systems. This research investigates the current
practices and procedures that are used and examines the complexities of managing database systems. My PhD title:
A Study into Best Practices and Procedures used in the Management of Database Systems.
The data explosion, increasing complexity along with technological changes inspired this research
With the explosion of structured and unstructured data, managing these ubiquitous data driven environments has become complex. The emergence of a significant set of new database engines and requirements to meet scalability, performance, security, availability, agility and increasing the quality of data stored in the databases requires us to examine the future evolution of how to manage these databases. The database landscape has and is continuing to change rapidly in both the On-premises and cloud arenas.
The data collection is now closed.
